LAMPASCIONI (WILD ONIONS)
Similar to onions, lampascioni grow spontaneously in the Apulian Murge area: they are wild bulbs that benefit the intestine by activating the body’s gastric functions. Versatile and sophisticated, lampascioni are one of the oldest and most characteristic vegetables of Southern Italy, characterized by a bitter and high-quality flavor.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Ideal for aperitifs (better if combined with traditional dishes and taralli), perfect for grilled meats and excellent for flavour-packed omlettes.
