De Carlo company has a long and familiar story. From generation to generation, since 1958, the company has been able to hand down the love for trees and products, supporting a company policy based on the advantages of the short chain and a zero-impact production, in harmony with the environment.

Family History

Since 1980, Saverio and Grazia De Carlo have managed the historical Apulian oil mill, and now, together with their children Marina and Francesco and their son-in-law Arturo, look after the oil business with care and passion, with the precious collaboration of all De Carlo’s staff.

Working the land we live on

Tradition and innovation are fundamental values for the De Carlo company. Keeping in mind our long family tradition, we produce our extra-virgin olive oil from lands cultivated according to the most ancient traditions.

The land where our olive trees grow: Puglia

The history of De Carlo products began and continues among the family’s centuries-old olive trees, the dry stone walls, the typical scarlet-red coloured land, the Mediterranean climate and the whiter-than-white stone. The good climate of the region has always contributed to the tastiness and authenticity of the oil. Balanced, harmonious, almond flavoured, our product brings with it all the smells of a unique land.

The Harvest

De Carlo estates extend to 130 hectares, with approximately 28.000 olive trees. In the allure of autumn and winter, our olives are lovingly harvested, as in a sacred ritual, and then crushed in the company oil mill within a few hours.

Productions

We grow our vegetables with love directly in our fields, under the olive trees, respecting the seasonality of each different vegetable and we process them within a few hours of harvesting in our workshop. All the vegetables are preserved in our precious extra virgin olive oil, thus guaranteeing a 100% Apulian product.

Values, Traditions, Technology

The De Carlo family has always linked innovation and tradition, considering their combination as a fundamental value, bringing out the authenticity of Apulian peasants culinary arts, for those who choose to eat in a healthy and conscious way.

De Carlo oils, preserves and all other products are the results of a long-standing experience and a scrupulous attention to the processes and the different phases of harvesting, production and packaging.
